Delta flight makes emergency landing at GSP

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - The 259 passengers on a Delta Air Lines
jet that made an emergency landing had to take a bus or made their
own plans to continue the Raleigh-to-Atlanta trip.
Delta Flight 1819 landed at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport
yesterday after the pilot smelled smoke in the cockpit.
Airport manager Larry Holcombe said the problem appeared to be a
malfunction in an air conditioning vent, but there appeared to be
no fire.
One woman aboard the Boeing 767 complained of minor burns. But
Delta spokeswoman Betsy Talton says the passenger refused treatment
from paramedics.
