Man arrested in Greenville county shooting

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Deputies arrested a man in connection with a shooting that left one woman injured on Thursday afternoon. The shooting happened at a home on Third Avenue in the Poe Mill Community around 4:20 p.m. 
Deputies said the victim had been driven to the home by another friend to buy some drugs. They said while she was in the car, Randy Blassingame shot her in the chest. 
Investigators said Blassingame called them after the shooting and after meeting with them was arrested. 
Blassingame was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Blassingame was being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. 
Deputies said they are not sure what led to the shooting. The victim was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
